Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group

Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) is the largest banking group in Japan (ahead of Mizuho Financial and Sumitomo Mitsui Financial) and one of the largest in the world. The group provides retail banking, corporate banking, and trust services in more than 40 countries. Subsidiary The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ operates about 700 branches across Japan and another 80 overseas. Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking oversees some ¥28 trillion ($319 billion) in assets under management. Other holdings include investment bank Mitsubishi UFJ Securities and California-based Union Bank, which has more than 300 branches.
