Some of what you’ll be doing:

  • Be the go-to person on the People Ops Team for team members regarding HR and benefits questions and issues
  • Be responsible for team member data integrity and entry of team member hiring and status changes including org changes, manager changes, salary changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and leaves of absence
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and improvement of processes, procedures, and policies, all in alignment with Lifelong’s mission and values
  • Coordinate and assist with agency-wide People Ops programs and special projects
  • Create templates and develop presentations to support People Ops team initiatives and projects
  • Champion collaborative cross functional relationships with other teams including Finance, Payroll, IT, and hiring managers to ensure a successful hiring process and on-boarding experience for new hires
  • Partner with hiring managers to effectively recruit top candidates for each position
  • Develop and oversee employee on-boarding and off-boarding procedures, conduct orientation and training for new team members
  • Proactively cultivate and maintain positive employee relations and strategies that support Lifelong’s dynamic team.
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; manage human resource issues in conjunction with the People team and Lifelong’s leadership.
  • Assist Executive Team with communications and scheduling (may include developing team emails, collating board books, drafting documents, telecommunications, etc.)
  • Manage other duties as required by the role and as assigned

Preferred Experience/Background
  • Strong customer service mindset to support our amazing team
  • Exceptional attention to detail, problem solver and a highly organized task master
  • Willingness to pitch in wherever help is needed across the People team
  • Experience working with Paycom or equivalent HRIS system
  • A collaborative and flexible style, with a passion for change and continuous improvement
  • 2+ years HR Generalist experience preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of human resources best practices on issues and management/leadership principles
