The opportunity:

We are looking for an emotionally intelligent and passionate HR leader to oversee our Team Resources Department. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role will guide overall HR strategy and ensure each step of the employee experience is in line with Meeting Tomorrow’s core values of commitment, kindness and humility. You will play a key role in championing our culture and ensuring it stays at the forefront of all our decisions as we grow and scale. You will also have a key role in driving and executing on our commitments to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, which permeate all aspects of employment. Currently, our Warehouse and Inventory teams are working in our office and Warehouse space, and all other teams are working remotely through the end of the year. This position will work remotely for the time being and will play a role in shaping the future of remote work and navigating that decision with the pandemic.

This role oversees a team of 2 (Team Resources Generalist and Talent Acquisition Manager). Here is what you’ll be responsible for:

DEI: drive our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts and execute on action plans.

Talent development: create and maintain strategy and plan to coach, develop, train and retain top talent.

Recruiting and hiring: oversee strategy to find, attract and hire the best talent out there.

Total rewards: ensure our compensation, benefits and perks attract and retain top talent and align with business needs.

Leadership support: develop curriculum for ongoing leadership development; mentor, support and advise current people managers.

Communication: lead MT’s internal communication strategy to ensure clarity and transparency.

Compliance and Safety: ensure MT is compliant with employment laws for a team in multiple states around the US; in charge of providing a safe work environment for our team and staying on top of all CDC recommendations for our Warehouse and Inventory teams that are currently working on site.

-Proven success and past experience leading an HR function and managing a team.

-Broad knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, and training and development.

The impact you’ll make:

Within 1 month, you’ll:

  • Cultivate trusting relationships with senior leadership, managers and employees and your team.
  • Work with leaders to assess biggest priorities and opportunities for HR in the short term.
  • Drive your own learning and integration: what are you most curious about, who would you like to build relationships with, what do you see are the biggest opportunities?
  • Get to know the business: understand our strategy, current initiatives, financials and where HR fits into the picture.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Lead and execute on existing DEI plans.
  • Have mastery over all existing HR processes and present opportunities for improvement and priorities to senior leadership.
  • Work with senior leadership on strategic planning for 2021 and recommend priorities for Team Resources for the year ahead.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

  • Develop long-term DEI strategy and action plan, including hiring and training plans.
  • Develop a manager training program.
  • Be our trusted resource for all people-related challenges.
  • Have developed and implemented a solid plan for navigating the workplace in the age of COVID.
